Paper clips show up in places most people do not expect: the gift table at a wedding, a welcome bag at a corporate offsite, a small thank-you token at a classroom. They work there because a shaped clip is small, useful, cheap enough to give in quantity, and — this is the part vendors usually skip — it can carry your name or a date on it.

Pick the shape to the occasion, not to the catalogue

The strongest favors are the ones that already say “this is for you.”

  • Weddings: heart, ring-pair or double-heart shapes read clearly. A plain binder clip looks generic next to a heart.
  • Corporate / trade events: your logo stamped or printed on a clip beats a printed paper favour that gets thrown away — the clip keeps getting used.
  • Classroom / teacher gifts: music-note and star silhouettes sit comfortably on a desk without being childish.

Because we make shaped clips from metal wire, the silhouette you pick is the silhouette you keep — one heart shape can be plated red for a wedding and nickel for a corporate run. Start from the shaped and novelty paper clip range and mark the base shape.

Finish is the quiet budget lever

The same heart in matte black, brushed nickel or a colour plating are three different looks at three different price points. For favors that will sit in a bag next to other items, the finish matters more than the shape: a dull or mismatched plating reads “cheap” even on a good design. Confirm the finish against a physical sample, not just a photo — plating colour shifts under different lighting, and a favour table is exactly where that shows.

Four things that decide whether favors actually arrive on time

  1. Logo method — stamped, printed or engraved. Each needs a setup time; if your event is 6 weeks out, the logo method is your real deadline, not the clip itself.
  2. Packing per favour — polybag, blister or on a branded card changes both cost and how the table looks.
  3. Quantity band — our MOQ shifts with quantity; lock the number early so the price you quoted is the price you ship at.
  4. A safety sample — approve a pre-production sample before the bulk run. This is the step that stops “the sample was fine but the batch came out different.”
